Perfect for a family vacation
We stayed for 2 nights in a King Room and man, the room was huge. The bathroom had hot water faster than you'd believe, and they even provided bottles of water for each of us, nice touch!

unbeatable proximity to kyoto station and must-see attractions
I had a fantastic time staying here, especially enjoying how just a short 5-minute walk took me to Kyoto Tower and a mere 20-minute stroll brought me to the gorgeous Sanjusangendo Temple, making it super easy to explore the city without wasting time on transportation. the hotel offers modern vibes with spacious rooms and friendly staff perfect for anyone looking to dive into the local scene. but the shampoo provided in the room could use some improvement, as it left my hair feeling oily.

comfortable stay with some room for improvement
The location next to the train station made travel easy , and the modern decor of my large room was refreshing. The bathroom was well-appointed with generous toiletries, and the on-site self-parking was convenient. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden view, which added a serene touch to my stay.
The staff, while polite, seemed overly strict with rules for a luxury setting.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Thousand in Kyoto. The location is perfect, just a quick five-minute walk from Kyoto Station. My room was spacious and luxurious, with a comfortable bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. The decor was modern, with a minimalist vibe that I enjoyed. Daily complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch. The lobby is stunning, featuring a unique light and sound display that felt magical, especially for my son. However, the breakfast options were rather limited, and I hoped for a bit more variety. One evening, I was turned away from the bar even though it was supposed to stay open longer, which was disappointing. Overall, while the experience was great, a few minor hiccups in service and dining left room for improvement.
